On Wednesday the Ladies played a stableford event, the field was small as a number of players were away. The winner of the day was Rhonda Thompson with 38 points. Ball competition went to Julie Murnane, Fran LeFevre, Lynne Ritchie and Olwyn King. Nearest the pin on 2nd was won by Ol King and 2nd shot on 18th was Julie Murnane.
On Friday only a small number of starters again and the winner was Lynne Ritchie with 16 points, ball competition to Robyn Houlison and Carol Burton.
Last Monday at Oberon the Pennant team was defeated 3 matches to 2 by Blackheath. This Monday should have seen the Pennants held at Blackheath but unfortunately the day has been postponed due to the amount of rain and carts being banned on the course.
The Beginners classes on Thursday have one more week left, the new people are very keen and on Sunday some played a couple of holes. Hopefully this will build up in future weeks. Again thanks to Brian Judge and Dave Titcume for devoting their time to the women’s tuition.
