Results Week Ending 20th April 2025

It was a big weekend of golf at the Lithgow Club with the staging of the annual Easter Tournament with Dave Titcume (7), Adrian Sharp (14) and Ken Durie (27) taking home the Easter chocolates following wins in their respective grades.
The best nett score of the day came out of B grade with Adrian Sharp posting a 68 nett which was set up with a strong back nine of 39. Sharp hits his driver a mile and once he gets his putter in order he will rocket into A grade. Runner up to Sharp was Paul Bailey (13) with 71 nett and the best scratch score going to Josh Howarth (12) who has been in hot form of late.
The A grade winner was Dave Titcume and he again showed he can still match it with the younger golfers. Titcume is one of the club’s most consistent golfers as was shown by his score of 69 nett with his nines being 39 and 37. Runner up was Anthony Boza (4) on 71 nett and the club champion Justin McCann (+3) took out the best scratch score with a 74 off the stick.
Another of the club’s very good veterans Ken Durie took out C grade with a score of 71 nett and like the other two grade winners enjoyed a strong back nine. Runner up on 74 nett was Deanna Goodsell (26) while the best scratch score went to Chrissy Peachman (22) with 98 off the stick.
Vouchers went to those with 73 nett and better and they were Kel Lampton, Darren Healey, Al Mostyn and John Bird.
Nearest to the pins were: 2nd Al Mostyn (83cms); 4th Harry Bender (399cms); 9th Josh Jones (62cms); 13th Paul Bailey (34cms) and the 18th Maxwell Nightingale (202cms).

Next Saturday’s event will be a stroke with the April monthly medals up for grabs.

Good Friday two person ambrose:
Winners were Don Farnsworth and Brian Judge with a score of 62 nett. The runners up voucher went Brandan Horner and Jake Lewis one shot back on 63 nett. Third place winners were Damien Marjoram and Kel Lampton on 63.5 nett.
Vouchers went to those with 66 nett and better.
Nearest to the pins were: 9th Don Farnsworth (26cms) and the 18th went to Brian Judge (48cms).

Wednesday PFD Food Services nine hole competition:
Winner on 22 points was Brodie Carter.
Runner up was Ken Mitchell on 19 points with the third place voucher going to Geoff Houlison with 18 points ocb.
Vouchers went to Steve Little, Al Mostyn, Steve McCann and Greg Guest. Cut was 15 points ocb.
Nearest to the pins were: 9th Ross King (450cms) and on the 18th Ron Phelan (500cms).
